Sea Bros!

View of the boat from towndock website

Lot of fishing boats like this along the ICW

Today started off rainy again. I woke up feeling kinda sick still but tried to power through. Matt got us going before I got up and we were underway by the time I had pants on. I made us some eggs, potatoes, and bacon to cheer myself up. It didn't work because I just got tossed about and then had to stand watch in the rain. (The bacon was good though.)

A few hours into the day the rain let up and we started seeing dolphins. I don't care how many times I will see dolphins, they will always be my bros. I love to watch them dance around the hull and swim next to us. We have seen dolphins many times before but today marks the first time we have seen them this trip. Momentous occasion. The wind was behind us and we were making 7 knots for most of the day.

We still can't find our spot light so we will probably buy one pretty soon but we can't complain about our progress today. Pulled into a fuel dock just before sunset and guess who is there to catch our dock lines? Kirsten and Jason off S/V Ceilidh! The fuel dock was closed so we are just gonna stay the night. Hot showers and cocktails are in order.
Cold again..

  1. Greetings, I'm glad to see you are making good progress. How far have you traveled since you began?

  2. Just found your blog. Good to see other young cruisers are out there having fun! Hope to join you in heading for the Bahamas soon.
